POSITION PURPOSE:
This is a temporary, non-exempt position report to the Director, Construction. As a Construction Management intern, you’ll assist in project scheduling, cost reviews, document control, and more. Help develop estimating templates and track proposals while gaining hands-on site experience with BESS and substations. Collaborate closely with our team to solve problems and contribute to project goals. This individual will have the opportunity to learn from experienced managers, attend training sessions, and present work at the end of the term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with Project Management & Construction Management: Assist in schedule updates, cost reviews, document control, cost reviews, meeting minutes, daily reports, and all other project management activities.
- Templates: Assist in building out estimating templates for future projects and tracking and logging proposals.
- Site Experience: Opportunity to spend time on site to learn about daily activities of the construction of BESS and substations.
- Collaboration: Working closely with construction managers, project managers, engineers, and other team members to brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and contribute to the overall project goals.
- Learning and Development: Opportunity to learn from experienced project managers, attend training sessions, and develop their professional skills and knowledge.
- Presentations: Chance to present their work or findings to colleagues or management, gaining valuable experience in communication and presentation skills.
- All other duties as required
- Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree in construction management or engineering
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of working at a computer
